As an aging healthy male, I can say with conviction that you MUST do more to forlorn the fatigue, aches and pains that aging dishes out, as well as the desire to plop you ass in front of the TV for hours.
A plethora of physical and psychological changes leads to a destructive change in attitude which in turn morphs your once youthful body into a fat ugly lump of shit. The good news is, there is a solution to slow down the aging process, and get you feeling a healthy and alive. I will tell you about this later.
As we hit our forties and fifties we see an indirect linear drop in our hormone levels. Fat builds around our belly, chest and butts. We see a loss in sex drive, and our relationships begin to suffer. As we get fatter, we begin to slow down. Our blood vessels and heart lose elasticity and we become hypertensive. If we continue to ignore our bodies, the perennial shit hits the fan. We develop arthritic lower backs, high blood pressure, perhaps insulin insensitivity leading to diabetes. And these are just a few things that happen if we lose control of ourselves. Are you getting the picture yet? As a master personal trainer who has been in the industry for 16 years, I have seen train wrecks of people.
Modern medicine wants you to believe you are just getting old and breaking down. They say this is the norm. Your Doctors solution is to take a Beta Blocker, and control your now high blood pressure, take a Statin and lower your elevated HDL cholesterol, Take injectable Insulin to control your soaring blood sugars. BUT, you as the subservient patient ,rarely stop to think of the ramifications of taking supportive medicines . What your doctor knows, is that most medical maladies, can be safely and effectively controlled naturally by the patient. What your doctor ALSO knows, is that majority of the population with these medical problems, are lazy fucks. That recommending any less invasive or holistic would be waste of their breath and precious time. This is what doctors deal with!
The one point I want you people in your 50′s and 60′s fail to realize, is that YOU CAN control the destiny of your personal health and wellness. Screw your head back on! You can effectively regulate your hormones, blood sugars and hypertension with healthy changes in your food, and prescribed exercise. I understand that it is not an easy undertaking and many of you. Most people don’t have any idea on how to get started and often self inflict and injury trying to figure it out. Proper nutrition and exercise is and evolving science, that must be specifically tailored to the individual. It is not what is read in Cosmo or Mens Health! I look at the science of nutrition and exercise as a myriad of confusing often conflicting concepts and applications. As a master personal fitness trainer it is difficult to keep up with the changes, but I do! A good comparison is the tax codes that change yearly. I really don’t have a clue how to file my corporate taxes, but I still file with the help and advice of my CPA . Ignore filing there will be grave consequences too!
You, must do the same. Hire a competent personal fitness trainer, with a solid medical background. I assure you, that you can regain lost years.
